Recall

Once little more than myth, recent excavations into the Pivilho Volcano revealed these creations beneath the heat and pressure-tortured stone. Said to be shaped by Hav'roth and imbued with the fury of Ushnish, the magma cobras are ferocious protectors of their domain, moving through solid and molten rock with equal ease. Their scales and hoods bear mesmerizing patterns that resemble those found in ancient S'Kra Mur architecture and decoration.

Their very presence tortures the air and earth, and their highly adaptive nature makes them dangerous for the careless adventurer. Many have been caught unaware by the magma cobra's quick response to an onslaught and only too late realized the importance of a varied assault.

Little is known of their life cycles or desires, but the magma cobra have only been observed within the Pivilho volcano. Whether they are meant to guard something deeper or simply thriving in their niche environment remains unknown, but what is clear is that these creatures posses none of Peri'el's gentle disposition.

The magma cobras are known to cast the Mark of Arhat and Fire of Ushnish spells.

• Importantly, there is an aura effect in the room that if not managed will make surviving virtually impossible. Slice and Puncture damage affect the direction of the aura. The cobras drop a gemstone that comes in two flavors, and can help mitigate up to 50% of the aura.
• Absorbs fire damage and appear to use it to heal themselves.
• They start as "magma cobra glowing with internal heat" and change to "magma cobra with a congealing shell of rocky scales".

Updated as part of Tuesday Tidings 171 to have a chance at special loot drops including items made from magma cobra parts, as well as memory orbs.
