Appearance

The sound of clanging swords accompanied by an occasional grunt fills your ears as you enter the Barbarian’s Guild training arena. A tall, leanly muscled woman dances around a test dummy crudely constructed of bits of armor and a bale of straw. Her posture is relaxed, though the play of muscle beneath her pale skin as she suddenly drops low to the ground and thrusts her sword into the target hints otherwise. The woman turns as you enter, her upper lip curling into a haughty smirk as she reguards you beneath a cool gaze. She stands, flicking long blonde braids over one shoulder as she saunters passed you and in condescending tones murmurs, “Your turn.” The sharp bite of her laugh echoes through the arena as she stalks out.

History

Lecretia was born in the heart of the Snow Clan, deep within the mountains of Aesry Surlaenis'a. Like most of her kindred, she was taught the importance of physical, as well as mental prowess. Days of her youth were either spent sparring the other children of her clan or carving gems alongside her mother, who was a jewelcrafter for the clan Cheftian. Lecretia found the beauty in the cold, hard gems to be much like the mountains she lived in, and often looks back upon this time of her life fondly. Being the youngest of 5 children ensured a strong upbringing, as she was constantly in battle over things with her bigger, stronger siblings.

As she grew older, it was obvious to her family that her strength lay in combat. As an adolescent she could wield a sword with more skill and cunning than even her eldest brothers. Lecretia was very proud of this, and was prone to provoking them into combat just to best them and show off her natural aptitude for the blade. Unlike the rest of her siblings, she was lean and quick, and could easily slip under a leg or spin and crouch with feline grace to avoid a blow. It was this fighting style that earned her the nickname licuti pishic “little cat” amongst her clan.

The day Lecretia left her homeland is one she doesn't care to discuss. Tradition required an arranged marriage once a daughter was of age, and as Lecretia had always been a free spirit, she found this a hard pill to swallow. So against the wishes of her parents she decided to leave the clan and refuse the hand of the young man they had chosen for her. Convinced that she just needed time, her parents restrained her in her room and continued to make preparations. Knowing their daughter's persistent nature, they set two guards to her door to ensure she didn't leave.

Many bruises, a broken nose, fractured ribs, and two unconscious guards later, Lecretia escaped to Ratha aboard a merchant's ship. From Ratha she took a ship to Riverhaven, where she received healing. Her nose was so badly broken that the Empath was unable to heal it completely, and since Lecretia thought it made her appear more intimidating, she left it that way. In Riverhaven she joined the Barbarian's guild, determined to hone her skills and gain mastery over every weapon she took a fancy to. She has not spoken to her family since, and is very guarded about the matter.

Present

Lecretia keeps to herself mostly as she is still in a bit of culture shock. She cares little for other races, and since there aren't many of her people around, she devotes more time to training than socialization. What little socialization she is required to do (for training or healing etc) she does quickly.

Religion

  • Lecretia gains favor through Everild.
