Weaver of Fate Demosel Dez'Madielle

Very old figure in the Moon Mage guild. Her brother, Andraethu, wanted to kill her for personal reasons. First and last guildmistress of Leth Deriel. Member of Fortune's Path. Very old (older than Lasarhhtha). Her mentor was Carnovasch.

Friend of Penelope and Amiss. Amiss was one of her first and best students from the short-lived Leth guildhall. When Penelope was killed by Kellior, Demosel avenged her and relayed the news to the Moon Mage Council.

Was present at Tezirah's brief appearance outside the Plane of Probability.

Demosel developed spidersilk and has made lots of money from her various merchant activities.

Summary of Profiles in Magic, Vol 11, which is devoted to Demosel

Mother was Cetai Manus (human), whose father had died young as a result of his work as a miner. Her house burned down and she moved to Leth, where she married Mayor Thornton Dez'Plecha (Elf). Demosel was born about 100 years AV and, a year after her, Andraethu was born. Mother died in childbirth when Demosel was eight but, before dying, gave Demosel a talisman to ward off evil. The father began beating Andraethu, so the two planned to escape. In the attempt, they were separated and Demosel, shot by an arrow, wound up in the caravan wagon of Carnovasch, a member of the Fortune Path.

The wound was bad, however, and Carno took her to Ailaeteorn, the island in the middle of Mirror Lake. There, Demosel claims, Eluned and Carno healed her. Carno stayed on the island. The experience changed her.

At the age of eighteen, she began her training at the Leth guildhall, Ankis Dir. She created a very powerful deck of Tokka cards and earned the Weaver of Fate title. Couldn't locate brother or father, though. Developed Wave of Distortion spell. Was promoted to Guildmistres of Ankis Dir. With Taramaine Braun, the then leader of the Heritage Keepers (?), developed Burn and Garden of Lights. The two were promoted to the Council. Developed Astral Path after difficulty, but nobody else was able to use it. She was also part of the expedition below the recently-finished Crossbow Observatory involving the obelisk and Y'Shai. As a result, she retired from the council.
