Slice command
| Combat maneuver that makes a reasonably paced, balance-building attack with a held melee weapon, best suited to slice damage. It is one of the specific maneuvers that make up weapon combos. |
| Unknown |
The SLICE command draws a held melee weapon's edge across an opponent. It is the slice counterpart of THRUST: moderate in cost and pace, and balance building, which makes it a workhorse attack for edged weapons.
Syntax
- SLICE
- Attack the enemy you are already engaged with, or pick a new one if you are not engaged.
- SLICE <enemy>

- SLICE <enemy> <body part>
- Attack the indicated enemy, aiming for the named body part.
- SLICE LEFT <enemy>

Detailed Information
Slice is a damage dealing maneuver.
Slice tends to be a somewhat fatiguing maneuver. Attacking again too soon can make this worse.
Slice tends to be balance building.
Slice is a reasonably paced maneuver, but heavy or unbalanced weapons can slow the attack further.
Slice is more accurate than most maneuvers, and is best suited to slice weapons and least suited to both puncture and impact weapons.
Slice temporarily penalizes all defenses, but is equally suited to both evasion and shield defenses and least suited to parry defenses.
Notes
- SLICE, SWING, THRUST, SLAM and PUMMEL all share a minimum roundtime. See Roundtime for the figures by weapon weight.
- Slice is commonly paired with FEINT, which builds the balance that slice spends.
