Celestial Beacon (constellation jewelry)

The Celestial Beacon enchant allows a user to create a beacon point for a Moon Mage to cast a moonbeam on via Focus Moonbeam.

Creation

Components

• A moonbeam
• Imbue
• Enchanter's Burin
• Celestial sigil of the Xibar, Yavash,Katamba, Cat and Magpie
• Activating Spell: Shadows, Dazzle or Unleash

Steps

• STEP 1 -- making the shard

1. PREP Focus Moonbeam <mana>
2. CAST <moon>
3. PREP Imbue <mana>
4. CAST -- It will only effect your moonbeams, it will effect the most recent one you cast in that room.

• STEP 2 -- after shard has been created:

1. CHARGE shard <mana>
2. PREP <Shadows/Dazzle> <mana> -- Shadows if it was a Katamba moonbeam, Dazzle if it was a Yavash/Xibar moonbeam
3. CAST Shard
4. REPEAT STEP 2 - when it is full of shadows/dazzle the shard will become solid, and you'll be holding it.

• Note: The shard will be constantly and quickly leaking the mana you put into it. You must keep mana in the shard, while filling it with shadows/dazzle, by CHARGEing it. If it runs out of mana, the shard will poof. You can charge, charge, cast. You can charge, cast, cast. It doesn't matter; experiment, and find a way that works for you. Remember, both charging and casting takes mana; try to balance how much you charge it with, and how much you cast shadows/dazzle at, with the amount of mana you have. Having a shadowling around helps. Other people cannot help you charge it or fill it.

• STEP 3 -- when shard is solid, and you're holding it.

1. STUDY Cat
2. SCRIBE my shard -- with burin in right hand, shard in left
3. STUDY Magpie
4. SCRIBE my shard -- with burin in right hand, shard in left
5. PREP <Shadows, Dazzle or Unleash> <mana>
6. CAST my shard
7. FOCUS shard
8. FOCUS shard - the sigil should bind, if it doesn't, keep focusing on it till it does
9. STUDY <moon>
10. SCRIBE my shard -- with burin in right hand, shard in left
11. PREP <Shadows, Dazzle or Unleash> <mana>
12. CAST my shard
13. FOCUS shard
14. FOCUS shard - the sigil should bind, if it doesn't, keep focusing on it till it does

• STEP 4 -- bonding it to the mage that will be sending the moonbeam.

1. CHARGE shard <mana>
2. FOCUS shard -- if you charged it with enough mana, it should bond to you, if not, repeat step 4.

Use

In order to use a Celestial Beacon simply raise the shard and it will send a message to the mage it is bonded to that the beacon is ready.

Notes

• The forming of the shard is a concentration check and will drain concentration while solidifying the shard for use.
