Dragon Priest Sentinels are typically found riding an Armored Shalswar outside the Black Spire and outside the Gear Gate of Raven's Point, or on the Parapet of the Black Spire. However, when they show up in invasions they will appear as a random NPC, such as Sir Robyn, Raif, or a shop owner. Once attacked they revert to their Sentinel form. Whenever a Sentinel is killed it turns into "an overstuffed burlap dummy" which can then be searched as normal.

Description as Sentinel

Considered the master of disguise amongst the ranks of its fellow Dragon Priests, the sentinel prides itself in being prepared for any situation or setting it may find itself in. A dark silk cloak is draped from its wide shoulders to surround its body, partially obscuring a variety of tools and equipment utilized in the art of disguise and deception. Camouflage scales covered in an array of scars outline its well-toned frame, allowing the sentinel to blend in easily with most wilderness terrain. Just above its dark serpentine sneer burns the fire of hate in its eyes, fueled by ancient fanatical teachings of Dzree.

Description as Dummy

An ragged burlap dummy rests on the ground, copious amounts of its straw spilling from several large gouges and tears in the fabric of its body. Its head has been slathered with faded red paint, giving it the appearance of a grinning face.

Hunting Info

  • Attacks: Claws, Pounds and Longbow

A Dragon Priest sentinel makes a complex gesture and produces a slender silver needle from thin air, gripping it gently between its middle and index fingers. With an agile flick of the wrist, it hurls the needle at you with a malicious sneer! (sleep poison)

A Dragon Priest sentinel hisses, "All the infidelsss will burn!" as it reaches into its cloak and produces a curious-looking arrow lashed with a large crystal bottle from within its dark folds. With practiced movements, it quickly notches the arrow and fires at you!

You fail to move out of the path of the curious-looking arrow in time, which strikes you with force. Upon impact, the crystal bottle attached to the tip shatters against your armor, dousing you in copious amounts of naphtha, but failing to ignite.

You fail to move out of the path of the curious-looking arrow in time, and it strikes your chest with tremendous force. On impact, the crystal bottle attached to the arrow shatters and douses you in copious amounts of naphtha, igniting with a massive *WHOOOMPH*!

Bugs

  • "The triangular dagger slams violently against your , sending it spinning swiftly though the air to lodge in the ground nearby."
  • Similar messaging where what is blocked or hit isn't shown.
  • After Raesh's naphtha changes, their naphtha arrow is a highly accurate, 1-hit death sentence.
