Medium Edged skill

General Information

In the past the Medium Edge skill was a popular weapon skill due to the general ease with which it could be swung and the amount of damage it could output. Since new characters are generally lacking in their Strength, Stamina and Agility the use of larger weapons used to be an issue when you considered fatigue and weapon round times.

Due to recent changes to round time (6 second cap) and fatigue changes it has become more reasonable for younger characters to start out with larger weapons.

With enough strength Thieves can use sabres to backstab with rather than using the traditional light edge weapon. With regular metals it is possible for a weapon forger to achieve a "high" rating on puncture which is a notch above the standard store-bought sabre "moderate" rating.

Special Metals

Currently the highest rating a medium edge weapon can achieve is "great" on either its puncture or its slice. To obtain such a weapon requires the use of the rare metals Glaes, Kertig, or Damite which can no longer be obtained in game without purchasing from another player.

Rare Weapons

The T'Kashi mirror blade is a unique medium edge weapon in that its stats are a reflection of the wielder. This weapon will grow stronger as the wielder grows stronger stat wise.
