The Blood of Shorka is a colloquial term used in the city of Muspar'i to refer to the ruling family.. The city and surrounding territory is a S'Kra Mur monarchy, currently ruled by King Arhhdan. The monarchs of the city rule from Shorka's Palace located on the west side of the city. The kings of Muspar'i are collectively known as "the Blood of Shorka" after Shorka the Cobra, the founder of the city, but any actual blood relation to her is uncommon nowadays.
The Blood of Shorka is determined by a family's social standing, which in itself is determined by wealth, heredity, and exceptional deeds. The throne of Muspar'i is not always passed from parent to child, as one must always remember one of the most important S'Kra customs, the q'zhalata, which makes governing by promigeniture difficult.
