Marblesilk is a Prydaen specialty fabric, but has no restrictions on race. Originally created by the Prydaen weaver Albrhae and perfected by generations of his family, marblesilk is prized for its combination of softness, distinct patterning and even colors.
The easiest way to describe marblesilk is to say that all marblesilk is marbled silk, but not all marbled silk is marblesilk. Marblesilk is distinct in its use of nature-like patterns that are meant as honorifics toward the Prydaen god Eu. Patterns may also be embellished after coloration by the addition of raw silk threads. Such additions are meant to emphasize or enhance the pattern in the fabric and they add a rough texture.
