Forisaad is a thickly-vegetated swamp region south and west of Laakvor, in Zoluren. It is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, notably the Ring-Necked Gidii. Despite the difficult, trackless terrain, it is a place of great natural beauty, from its geysers to the heart of the Deep Tangle.
History
Explorers venturing into the area have come back with stories of an abandoned village. The encroaching wetlands acted quickly to reclaim the space, but the odd structure still stands behind those rusted gates.
For years, the village sat untouched. In or around 365 AV, Magmus Bloodston began to seek funding to excavate the area and discover what had happened to its inhabitants. His efforts were personally rebuffed by Prince Vorclaf, who dismissed the notion of anything unusual there as a fairy tale. As fate would have it, the village shortly became instrumental in the affairs surrounding Karovaas music box.
Details are spotty, but the village appears to have once been a bardic refuge established during Dzree reign, possibly by one or more of the Songsworn. Though they were eventually found out, the refugees living in the village managed to protect many of their secrets by leaving behind a hidden cache of lore, which Karovaas may have used to open his music box and free the Naga within.
Plundered of perhaps its most precious secrets, the village has sunk back into obscurity, leaving so many questions unanswered.
