"The Two" refers to the first two Elves, Celestidhl and Keloryon, who were created by the gods twelve thousand years before the Victory of Lanival. All Elves are descended from the Two, who are also referred to as "the Mother" and "the Father." They had over twenty children together and died seven thousand years before the Victory of Lanival, making both of them five thousand years old at the time of their deaths.
