Overview

You can also ask NPCs about these topics as well

Three types of games: regular, special, and jackpot. Amount you PAY the NPC depends on the type you SAY you want to play after the previous game ends. Prizes are also determined by this. Every successful "Waerd" will reward you coins and a single item from the game prize pool.

To get started, get a marker and board from the table in the room. When the Caller asks, say out loud which of the 3 game types you want, the Caller will randomly choose from the games called out for. If special is chosen, you can say out loud your preferred pattern (see below), and one will be randomly chosen.

If you want to play the game at this point, you PAY RESLO/WEYSU and it will take the payment from the coins you are carrying. At this point, the game will be just like bingo; when a number is called out such as "A-28", if you have a "28" on your card, you then MARK 28 to put a marker on that number. LOOK MY BOARD will let you see how you are doing towards matching the game pattern.

Once your card matches the game pattern, YELL DRAGON or YELL WAERD, and a moment later, you'll be asked to GIVE BOARD TO RESLO/WEYSU to confirm your numbers. The Caller will check your numbers against the valid ones on the rack in the room, and if you have a winning board, you'll be awarded the coins and prize.

If you wish to play again, you can either choose a new board or reuse your current one by doing a RUB MY BOARD to clear the markers from the previous game.

Interactions

  • ASK RESLO/WEYSU/NPC ABOUT:

Waerd/Game

Caller Weysu replies, "'Tis a fun game, indeed! You must try it. Just get a board and some markers and you have all you need to play! In the basic game, the board represents the World Dragon and the idea is to slay it by running a sword of markers all the way through its heart. There are some special games too, just ask the players.

Rules

Caller Weysu replies, "The rules are really quite simple. Just listen to which numbers I call, mark them off on your board, and when you get the numbers marked that form one of the patterns that I'm looking for, then yell "Waerd". For those less enlightened folks, I'll accept "Dragon" too. I'm a bit hard of hearing so be certain to YELL!"

Price/Cost

If Game is New: Caller Weysu replies, "The cost varies by the type of game we're playing. The current game has an entry fee of 500 kronars. You simply PAY me to play."

If Game is Too Far in Progress: Caller Weysu replies, "The cost varies by the type of game we're playing. The current game has an entry fee of 500 kronars. Unfortunately, we're too far into it to accept new players, but stick about for the next game."

Boards

Caller Weysu replies, "Oh, yes. You need at least one board to play the game. Go ahead and GET one."

Markers

Caller Weysu replies, "Oh, yes. You need some markers to mark off which numbers you have on your board. Go ahead and GET some."

Special

Espeda says, "Specials are games you win by completing specific patterns on the board. We have specials named the Crossing, Close the Gate, the Diamond, the Trident, the Compass, the Full Moon and Seal of Zoluren. I can show you what they look like, just ask."

Special Boards

When you ASK <NPC PLAYER> ABOUT <DESIGN> you get the following results:
