A stirring rod is a crafting tool used in the prepatory Blacksmithing, Weaponsmithing, and Armorsmithing to stir the molten metal in a crucible.

See Crafting Tools for details.

Creation and Repair

Rods can be created under the Carving discipline.

Their repair is currently possible only through the same process as metal tools, but may change in the future as the carving discipline is expanded.

Stirring rods can also be repaired by the repair persons in the Crossing Engineering Society and the Riverhaven Engineering Society.

Templates

Stirring rods derive their speed from their weight, the lower the better, up to an unknown point. Pumice is too light. It makes a bad rod.
