According to Moon Mage Malva, steel is a particularly durable material in mundane construction, and the alloy can likewise be used to augment divination.
Steel can be made in 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 iron to coal mixtures. The higher the coal content, the harder the steel but the lower the durability. This is the base material for armor, weapons, and tools.
When smelting steel from iron and coal, the volume of the resulting ingot will equal to the volume of the iron only.
