Moon Mage attunement

The Moon Mage"Moon mage" is not in the list (None, Bard, Barbarian, Cleric, Empath, Moon Mage, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Thief, ...) of allowed values for the "Guild association is" property. Power Perceive skill is vastly different than the power perception used by other guilds. While the mana other guilds perceive changes with location, Moon Mages' mana changes with time, meaning that the amount of lunar mana available will be the same regardless of where the Moon Mage is.

Basics

Moon Mages have a special affinity for power perceiving and as such have a much wider range of perceivable objects. The most basic of these are:

• Each of the moons. <Katamba, Yavash, and Xibar>
• Each of the Spellbooks <Moonlight Manipulation, Psychic Projection, Perception, and Enlightened Geometry>
• PERCEIVE MANA will give info as if the mage percieved each spellbook seperately.
• With knowledge of Teleologic Sorcery a Moon Mage can sense available mana for the spellbook as well as the duration of any currently active Teleologic spells.
• The planets
• People and creatures
• Moonbeams in the area from a recent Focus Moonbeam spell

Advanced Uses

With enough skill, a Moon Mage can eventually perceive the precise degree of the moons above and below the Elanthian sky. For sake of ease, the degrees are based relative to the Taisgath obelisk.[1]

When perceiving people or creatures a Moon Mage is granted some insight into a couple things. The Moon Mage can tell if the person or creature is a magic user and what type of mana they use. As well as any spells they are preparing or have affecting them and if they are holding mana.

Another aspect of Moon Mage power perception is detecting and scrying or magical watching by PERCEIVING WATCHERS or PERCEIVING CLAIRVOYANCE. An off shoot ability in this area is a Moon Mages ability to Backtrace, which allows the mage to trace a Locate back to the casting mage and his location.
