Description

The inkbound lupine guardian's wolfish body is wrought of layered structural pieces formed from fractured shelving, warped covers, and tightly compressed stacks of parchment fitted together in narrow, deliberate layers. Strips of stiff vellum overlap across its frame in dense ridges that mimic coarse fur. A steady amber glow burns in the intensely staring eyes, and the gleam of metal beneath its upper lip reveals slightly curved incisors formed from broken penknives. Across the length of its body, shadowed lines of shifting text slide continuously in blurred currents that never resolve into readable script.

Inkbound lupine guardians are lean, wolf-like constructs that protect the passages of Fenvol's Folly, their forms pieced together from discarded library materials. Once intended as attentive companions, repeated exposure to their creator's many experiments sharpened them into protective sentinels that safeguard their chosen shelves with feral intensity.

The lupine guardian is known to cast the Refractive Field and Fluoresce spells.

They are known to carry loot in locked boxes.
