Stance command
The STANCE command is used to view/adjust how efforts are allocated to offense and defense.
Additionally, STANCE can also be used to display the last combat maneuver used. This is important since the last combat maneuver can impact the effectiveness of the next combat maneuver used.
Syntax
- STANCE
- STANCE MANEUVER
- STANCE VIEW
- STANCE <ATTACK/EVASION/PARRY/SHIELD> <#>
- STANCE <ATTACK/EVASION/PARRY/SHIELD/CUSTOM>
- STANCE <ATTACK/EVASION/PARRY/SHIELD/CUSTOM> VIEW
- STANCE <ATTACK/EVASION/PARRY/SHIELD/CUSTOM> SAVE
Typing STANCE alone or with VIEW will display your current stance setup, as well as your last manuever, while the MANEUVER option will just display the last move. STANCE <option> <#> will set the indicated defense to the number indicated, so long as the total number of stance points is not exceeded.
STANCE <option> will cause you to change to the presaved stance setup, which is set via <option> SAVE. Saving will store your current stance in whichever setting you specify, and <option> VIEW will show you that stance without changing your current one.
Usage
Setting your stance allows you to determine in what ways you defend yourself. It translates to what percentage of your actual skill you will be using, i.e. STANCE PARRY 80 will have you using 80% of your parry skill to defend.
For most characters, the maximum number of defensive stance points is 180, with an additional 1 for every 5 taken from the ATTACK stance. However, Barbarians and Paladins gain a bonus defense point for every 10 circles. and Rangers gain a bonus defense point for every 20 circles.
