Andradite is a mineral species of the garnet group. It occurs in skarns developed in metamorphosed impure limestone, in schists and serpentinites, and in other igneous rocks.

- melanite - black in color
- demantoid - vivid green with golden horsetail inclusions
- topazolite - yellow-green in color

Common Description
- (demantoid andradite): The brilliant-cut gem refracts an array of deep green hues, each glistening with minute golden speckles as they catch the light.
