Memorial of Champions

The Memorial of Champions is located within the Paladins' Guild in Hibarnhvidar.

Block candles line a carpeted walkway through this enormous gallery. A myriad of canvas paintings and tapestries hang high on the stone walls. Arranged in strategic locations are carvings and wheels depicting stories through pictographs or in Haakish.

Life Wheel

Within the Memorial, a series of carvings contains a pictographic retelling of the history of Emille the Fist, told across nine carved stone panels, set upon a Life Wheel.

The round pillar of stone has been mounted and balanced on steel rods protruding from the floor and ceiling. Nine images and inscriptions have been evenly spaced and carved in the rounded stone. Highly polished wooden handles inserted in the wheel provide the onlooker with a way to rotate the pillar so each carving and inscription can be viewed individually.

Deeply cut into the surface is a Dwarven man holding a baby, tears streaming down his face. A young Dwarven woman lies in a bed with her eyes closed.
~~ The Fist was born but her mother died in childbirth. ~~

Chipped into the stone panel is the picture of the Dwarven man hugging a Dwarven girl and pointing to a mountain.
~~ The father of the Fist was a great architect. He loved the Fist very much. ~~

Carved into the stone is a young Dwarven woman in battle garb, wielding a large war hammer. She is being circled by several dragons.
~~ The Fist grew up a great warrior, no battle too big. ~~

Careful gouges in the stone show a Dwarven woman with one hand over her heart. Around her head is what appears to be part of an aura or halo.
~~ The Fist showed courage, honor, and leadership. Many followed her. ~~

Chiseled deeply into the stone is an armored Dwarven woman swinging a large war hammer against a swarm of skeletons.
~~ The Fist fought many evil beings and led us to freedom. ~~

Depicted on the panel is a Dwarven woman waving as she walks up through a mountain pass.
~~ The Fist left to find vigilance. ~~

Chipped into the panel is a Dwarven woman hugging an older Dwarven man while pointing to a mountain face.
~~ The Fist returned and asked her father to build her home. ~~

Carved deeply into the stone panel is a Dwarven woman sitting and interacting with a proud lion.
~~ The Fist taught many others courage, honor, and leadership. ~~

Chiseled into the stone is a large fist with a star in the background.
~~ The Fist sleeps here. ~~

Soul Wheel

Within the Memorial, a series of carvings contains pictographic depictions of some actions that impact the soul of a Paladin, illustrated across seven carved stone panels, set upon a Soul Wheel.

The round pillar of stone has been mounted and balanced on steel rods protruding from the floor and ceiling. Seven images and inscriptions have been evenly spaced and carved in the rounded stone. Highly polished wooden handles inserted in the wheel provide the onlooker with a way to rotate the pillar so each carving and inscription can be viewed individually.

Carved deeply into the block is a bearded Dwarf in armor bandaging up a Human woman. A perfect soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.

Chiseled deeply into the block is a bearded Dwarf in armor running away from an unrecognizable creature. A melted soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.
~~ Cowardice ~~

Depicted in the stone is a Dwarf, barely dressed, standing in a pool with his arms raised up. A perfect soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.
~~ Reflection ~~

Gouged into the block is a young Dwarf sneaking his hand into an older Dwarf's pocket. A melted soulstone is embedded in the body of the young Dwarf.
~~ Theft ~~

Chipped into the block is a bearded Dwarf kneeling in prayer with a small raven icon in his hands. A perfect soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.

Carved into the block is a bearded Dwarf with a hammer in his hand. Below him is the body of a crushed Human. A melted soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.
~~ Murder ~~

Depicted in the block is a female Dwarf who is holding a mighty greatsword above her head. Large skeletons surround her. A perfect soulstone is embedded in the body of the Dwarf.

Paintings, Tapestries and Carvings

Finely worked threads, colors muted from age, depict the image of a lofty mountain pass. At the peak of the pass, a lion, mongoose, and goshawk bask in a ray of sunshine. Far below, a group of Dwarves travels through the mountains, pushing and pulling carts, wagons, and each other along the steep path.
