Category talk:Therengia
Ooookies, the categories for Therengia are many! And I think they keep multiplying. What are we going to do with all the NPCs in this category? Are they the families located in Therengia? If so... the category needs to be changed to something more descriptive. Or the Great Houses of Therengia needs to be turned into a category.--Naeya (talk) 21:55, 7 December 2007 (CST)
A lot of the Great Houses do not have the number of NPCs associated with it either actual or mentioned in history to warrant a category in my opinion. In the talk:Theren it was pointed out that having categories and articles was acceptable, but what happens when you have so little content? In the case of some families you have maybe one NPC and then the information derived out of the Morzindaen book.
I see the individual family getting a category created, a blip of info on them, in that blip a reference to Great Houses of Therengia, and then calling it good. We just don't have enough information to warrant long detailed histories that require their own article in my opinion.Maje 22:13, 7 December 2007 (CST)
I think having NPCs tagged according to province isn't going to be very helpful for us and it will, ultimately, just clutter up the category. Since NPCs can (and do) move around, a province affiliation is a pretty weak category (unlike, say, Elf). As for characters with strong province affiliations, such as Vorclaf, we can expect the article to make that very obvious. To be honest, I don't see much use for the category at all. --Basselope 00:20, 8 December 2007 (CST)
