Trick cambrinth is also known as "Thief cambrinth" or "fake cambrinth," though the latter term is a misnomer, since it uses real cambrinth as well as a hidden device allowing a Thief to mimic a spell caster's use of cambrinth. Non-thieves may use it as a standard piece of cambrinth, but won't be able to use the hidden device.
The items are implied to have a Thievery requirement, but it has not been confirmed.
With sufficient appraisal skill, fake cambrinth has this line in its appraisal: "You notice a small mechanism on the cambrinth [noun], that appears as if it could make some noise."
Thief-only Syntax
- TURN <item>: Will prepares the ring and displays the same messaging as FOCUS.
- GESTURE <item>: Triggers the hidden device and cause it to *snap* similar to a standard piece of cambrinth.
