Contingency
Abbreviation: CONT
Prerequisites: Teleport, Seer's Sense
Minimum Prep: 14
Casting Cap: 45
Valid Spell Target: Self, Others
Description: A spell for emergencies, Contingency will teleport the mage, should he die, become stunned, or disabled, to the location of either his moonbeam or to the feet of the person he is linked with via Seer's Sense. Like all teleport magic, it requires that the moons are visible, or the Contingency spell will fail.
Example Messaging: You suddenly feel mystically attuned to your <Moon> moonbeam.

You suddenly feel mystically attuned to <Person>.

  • The thought of <caster> enters your mind for a fleeting moment.

Notes

  • Great in combination with Seer's Sense and Thoughtcast. A self-cast Thoughtcast will cause a stun triggering the Contingency, thus being able to teleport somewhere and still leave a beam behind for return trip.
  • Maximum duration is two anlaen.
