The Professional Healers Association (PHA) is a group of Empaths who charge for their services as healers.

Location

In The Crossing, PHA Empaths normally work in the Dispensary, which is located on Via Mandroga. (The decision not to use the Empaths' Guild was motivated in part by the desire to minimize conflicts with other Empaths.)

Directions: From the outside of the Empaths' Guild, go east, north, and through the hospital backdoor.

Pricing

Prices are based on the number, location, and severity of wounds. The Empath may choose to deviate from the standard rate.

Young adventurers who are clearly not supported by wealthy friends or relatives receive a discounted rate of one third of the normal price. (The decision to apply the discounted rate is at the sole discretion of the Empath.)

Corpses may be charged double the rate to compensate for the increased risk to the Empath's health.

Triage Exception

Most members do not charge for their services during triage. They consider this to be their contribution to the war effort.

Interactions With Others

The PHA has not authorized anyone, including the Goose family, to act on its behalf.

At this time, the PHA has no plans to use "friends" or "enforcers."
