- READ CATALOG: To see the shop inventory categories on each page of the catalog.
- You take a few moments to glance through the catalog. It would appear to be Berolt's listings, with pages for every kind of item he carries. Included in the catalog are the following pages:
- Page 1 - Luggage and Carry-alls
- Page 2 - Weapon sheaths
- Page 3 - Traveler's Necessities
- Page 4 - Provisions and Miscellany
- Page 5 - Color Chart
- READ PAGE #: To see the inventory listed on each page of the catalog.
- ORDER <ITEM>: To order a specific inventory item. ie, ORDER TAN RUGGED BACKPACK or ORDER WOODEN TORCH
- Berolt smiles and says, "A good choice! You can have the XXXX for a mere # kronars."
- OFFER <#>: (Where # is the amount in coppers) You can offer the price he quotes, or greater than or lesser than the quoted price. If you've offered less than his price, but not so low as to offend him; you can haggle for a better price.
- Berolt strokes his chin and says, "Well, if it's a bargain you're after, how about #?"
- OFFER <#>: Raising your offer closer to his quote is more likely to be accepted. If your offer is accepted:
- Berolt thinks it over and agrees to your price.
- Berolt grins as he hands you your purchase.
[Berolt's Dry Goods, Showroom]
Rough walls and floors covered with a gritty layer of dirt attest to the constant traffic in what must be one of the more popular establishments in town. Shelves and counters crowd together, displaying all manner of equipment for a rugged lifestyle in an orderly, if dustridden manner. Berolt, the proprietor, keeps a close eye on business, but still manages a quick, hearty laugh at a rather bawdy joke from a coarse-looking character who is obviously a regular visitor here.
You also see the merchant Berolt, a scarred doorway and a rough-hewn table with a catalog on it.
Obvious exits: out.
Note: You may be able to haggle for lower prices depending on your Charisma.

[Berolt's Dry Goods, Storage]
Except for a few dusty old crates and splintering barrels shoved up against one wall, this small, close room is bare. On top of one barrel, someone's lunch of cheese and bread is awaiting their return, provided it survives the obvious interest of a tiny mouse, who is now snuffling among some of the larger crumbs.
You also see a wooden shelf with a wrought iron scale brush on it, a low shelf with an applewood foot brush with soft goat-hair bristles on it and a scarred doorway.
Obvious exits: none.
