This should not be redirected from Gargoyle there are multiple types of gargoyles now.

Constructs

Are these actually flagged as Constructs in-game now, or is the page change based on the description? -Glimmereyes 03:01, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Little late now, but in case anyone else reads this and is wondering, yes they are actually flagged in game as constructs (empaths can safely attack them without risk of shock). --Itharl 04:55, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Special Attacks

(1) Charge Attack - Although Granite Gargoyles may have at one time utilized a charge attack, they no longer do. As of 199 days, 416 years AVL [June 2015] I have yet to see the Dragon Spine Mountain gargoyles do so. At melee range, granite gargoyles will pound, bite, or maneuver. However, at missle or pole range they will only advance to melee range. Even when stopped at pole range, granite gargoyles do not attack until engaged in melee.

  • RETREAT: You retreat back to pole range.

The granite gargoyle begins to advance on you!
The granite gargoyle advances from nearby and is closing steadily.
The granite gargoyle closes to melee range on you!

  • SHOVE: You shove a granite gargoyle with tremendous force, knocking it into a sprawling heap.

ASSESS: A granite gargoyle (1: prone and very badly balanced) is facing you at pole weapon range.
The granite gargoyle stands back up.
The granite gargoyle begins to advance on you!
The granite gargoyle advances from nearby and is closing steadily.
The granite gargoyle closes to melee range on you!

  • ADVANCE GARGOYLE: You begin to advance on a granite gargoyle.

You close to pole weapon range on a granite gargoyle.
You stop a granite gargoyle from advancing any farther.
You close to melee range on a granite gargoyle.

(2) Skull Stomp - As of 111 days, 416 years AVL [May 2015] Granite Gargoyles still love to stomp stuff!

  • Like flowers . . . Humming totally off-key, a granite gargoyle tramples a flower underfoot.
  • And, the skulls of dead adveturers . . .

The granite gargoyle stomps on your head, squishing it!
* <Poor Adventurer> was just struck down!
DEAD>LOOK <YOUR CORPSE>: You appear to be dead! Other than that... You have a pulpy stump for a head
