Little light reaches through the dusty hangings serving as a door to the street beyond, giving the area a pervasive gloominess that is dispelled only in part by the smoking glass-chambered lanterns hanging behind the stone counter. Chipped granite shelves sitting to either side of the counter take up most of what little free space once existed in the center of the room.
You also see the merchant Shisthlin.

• Merchant Shisthlin sidles over to the shelves, rearranging several of the items so that the more flashy pieces of metalwork are more prominently displayed.
• The merchant idly rearranges the wares upon the shelves.
• The middle-aged merchant suddenly glances at one of the wares on the shelves, looking intently at it. With a muttered hiss, he snatches it from its display and replaces it with a similar one from beneath the counter. He then glances around, seeing if anyone noticed the change.
