Category talk:Sysop Tools

I think this category needs to be split up since 'sysop tools' is a bit misleading for certain subcategories. For example 'stubs', 'articles for wikification' etc. are things that any editor can help out with, and should be encouraged to do so. IMO 'Sysop tools' should be reserved for things that only admins or higher can do such as articles for deletion. If noone has any objections I'm going to split it up in a few days. --Farman 16:27, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

Not sure exactly how to go about it, I was hoping we could figure it out together ;)

But for a start I was going to survey how they do it on Wikipedia, but from what I recall the last time I looked at things there, it was a huge mess. The goal of course is to make it easy for someone who wants to pitch in and do a little cleanup, can find a nice pile of tasks easily. I'm picturing a prominent link on the community page to a catch-all page that lists various clean up categories eg Stubs etc. Maybe it's as simple as adding an 'articles that need work' category. --Farman 16:03, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
