In a fit of divine inspiration, Father Soraent consumed prayer beads and vomited forth these enchanted necklaces thought to be a gift from the Immortals to protect their devotees against Maelshyve's demonic forces. Both mages and NMUs (non-magic users) were able to utilize them to cast Protection from Evil.

Syntax

  • STUDY: You recognize that the necklace is enchanted with the ability to cast a spell. Devices like this allow anyone to produce its set magical effect, even if the invoker is not a magician. However, they are hardless effortless to use. In addition to requiring ritualized gestures, they often refuse to work for absurd reasons, such as if you're thinking the wrong thoughts. Perhaps it isn't "doing magic," but figuring out the right way to invoke the necklace is a skill all its own.

You figure the simplest way to describe how to trigger it is "rubbing it or invoking it."
