:Template:ShopItem is set up to Capitalize the first letter of the first word and make all the other letters lowercase. To get the catalog listings correct for items like [[Item:Black tarr ale]] there would either need to be a redirect page from "Black tarr ale" to "Black Tarr ale" or use an exception for each link in a shop's catalog. I felt this was the easier route, but I don't think there's been an official decision on how to handle such names.
