A legacy gem is a generic term for gemstones that have been found in the treasure, loot & prize pools prior to the updates to gems to allow for additional APPRAISE CAREFUL information. These gems will have a low appraisal value and, with the exception of the chunk of glittering minerals, can usually be found as either a large or huge version. In general these can be considered common gems however they may periodically come up as items to find in treasure hunts, from NPC-run games, etc.
