Elaborate clockwork covers the case's exterior in a series of carefully calculated ratios driving three moons of sapphire, ruby, and black jade around one end. The tube has been capped with a removable stained glass dodecahedron bordered by brass vertices. Opposing panes of glass are colored pairs, the colors of the moons abutting that of the sun and stars, and culminating with a rich royal purple.
