This is a special TF-only shop (with special mechanics) which can be found in ANY random room across Elanthia and never stays in a fixed location.
The shop exterior always appears like a "dilapidated old shack" or similar, but the interior is very opulent and has expensive rare items.

Extreme Shop Mechanics

  • It can randomly spawn in almost any room in Elanthia (should NOT spawn in impossible to reach areas or quest areas like the Vykathi Hive)
  • BUT it has been known to bug out from time to time (in impossible to find areas) and require a GM to reset it.
  • Every time the shop spawns in a new location, it changes it's exterior description (following the formula below)
  • Once the shop spawns in a new location - It stays at that location - until someone finds it and enters/leaves - at which time it teleports to a new random location
  • Once someone enters the shop - It is locked - No one else may enter - Only one person can be in the shop at a time.
  • You have a limited time to linger in the shop (10-15 minutes??) before you will be automatically booted.
  • It is unclear what triggers it or exactly how long the idle timer is since there have been differing reports. Every 20 or 30 seconds you will get a message "You really shouldn't be loitering in here."
  • There is a bank inside of the shop which has Premium-like attributes of being able to withdraw coins from ANY of your banks for a fee.
  • MOST verbs are completely disabled while in the shop, including CHATTER and thoughtcast etc being blocked.
  • Expect to only be able to use the bare minimum verbs necessary to make purchases and use the banking facilities such as LOOK, GET, BUY, TAP, WITHDRAW, SHOP
  • You can only purchase ONE single item and then you are escorted out of the shop before it teleports away , so take your time to make a decision.
  • There is also a 24 hour timer to enter the shop again once you have left. - Do not accidentally leave without buying something! Even if you find the shop again quickly, you will have to wait.

  • Most items are 'epic/quest' level - most from old quests & events. However there are some items which are completely unique to TF. Item costs range from around 12 gold to 30,000 plat
  • (The backpacks hold 35+ boxes and 5+ pyramids similar to old backpacks - Baldrics hold longbows/spears)
  • Many of the items are not as great as modern MT items, but they are still much better than normal store bought!

  • In recent years The Extreme Shop can be found inside Hollow's Eve fest while the festival is active.
  • While in HE fest - it follows the same mechanics with teleporting around, just confined to Hollow's Eve, making it MUCH easier to find.

The exterior description of the shop changes randomly every time the shop moves. It always follows the same pattern of:

A(N) <ADJECTIVE> {MATERIAL} <BUILDING>

You will notice the exterior description of the shop is always a "run-down shack" look
A material is usually not present. Known possibilities are:

[The Extreme Shop, Foyer]
Punctuating the vaulted ceiling of pristine white is a single lead crystal chandelier that hangs from a massive golden chain. One hundred candles spiral between the depending strands of crystal that form a long coil, radiating a pure pool of light reflected in the glossy alabaster floor. A florid exit sign curves over a modest archway. At the very end of the room huge twisted travertine columns stand sentry over a pair of towering arched doors, each augmented with gilt and solid brass handles. You also see an elegant curving staircase of veined marble ascending to a balcony. Obvious exits: none.

[The Extreme Shop, By the Staircase]
Suspended high above the foyer the stairs give way to a narrow circular platform that hugs the pristine walls. In turn the staircase railing continues up and around the balcony, preventing falls that would spoil the spotless marble below. Liviered servants stand between six pilasters that jut from the wall where cleverly refracted light highlights their contents. A spotlight casts a pure light on a pair of pedestals and a pair of sculptures of lustrous marble.
You also see a stone table with a couple of things on it, a weapon rack with a few things on it, a small tray with a polished sungold codpiece secured with straps of diamond-hide leather on it, a bookshelf with a thick blood-red book titled "How to skin a Prydaen..." on it and a gold-edged sign of stiffened parchment bearing black calligraphy.
Obvious exits: northwest.

A gold-edged sign of stiffened parchment bearing black calligraphy reads:

High above the foyer, the narrow platform hugs the walls as the banister continues around, preventing falls to the unforgiving marble below. The room has a reverent air and clever lighting highlights lustrous tables, a set of glass shelves and a polished counter. Liveried servants stand with backs to the wall staring at nothing, silent as unwound automatons. Powdered wigs, painted faces and satin breeches complete the rather bizarre uniform of the attendants serving in this exclusive shop. You also see a brass sign with a large card insert and a suspended crystal chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling. Obvious exits: southeast, west.

A brass sign with a large card insert reads:

[The Extreme Shop, Teller Window]
Towering arched doors lead from the foyer and open into this room with its lustrous marble and creamy travertine veined with strands of darkness and lavishly applied gilt. Fierce guards, their grim visages difficult to make out behind some sort of art around the eyes and cheeks, are muscular with well-oiled long limbs safely ensconced in supple leather armor, their bristling presence almost anathema to the sumptuousness. You also see a glamorous clerk and a neatly lettered sign. Obvious exits: west.

[The Extreme Shop, Foreign Exchange]
A halo of light from an alabaster chandelier illuminates the only other person in this room. Sitting behind a broad silverwood table is an erudite-looking clerk here to facilitate the exchange of coins. Small piles of different currency and denominations sit neatly on the glossy wooden surface along with small pouches of all kinds of material. The Extreme shop obviously prides itself in doing its utmost in separating the prized client from their coins. You also see a sign covered with quite a lot of writing. Obvious exits: east.
