Description: | Among his many deeds, Phelim is renowned for putting the mighty World Dragon to sleep with a handful of silvery sand. Drawing on this example, Phelim's Sanction is a spell pattern which, if successfully cast, will stun its target with a deluge of divine light. This spell is especially useful to aspiring Undead hunters as it functions with greater efficiency when used against those accursed abominations. It is possible that an Undead target -- even a disembodied spirit -- will be utterly incapacitated by the Holy power channeled by Phelim's Sanction. | |
Example Messaging: | A sparkling cloud of silver motes envelopes its body like a mist of stars. The fendryad is viciously stunned by the haze of Holy energy whorling around it.
A rapidly churning cloud of silver motes seethes around it, momentarily obscuring it from view. The mist coalesces into thick strands of silver light that spiral inward, revealing a greater skeleton completely frozen in place. Streamers of silver motes pierce its ethereal body, exploding into a torrent of starry sparks that hold the snaer hafwa captive in a matrix of divine energy. |
Notes
- A glowing iron fragment will enhance this spell, when it is held in the caster's hand.
