| Combat maneuver that makes a slow, heavily fatiguing impact attack with a held melee weapon, trading balance for damage. It is one of the specific maneuvers that make up weapon combos. |
| Unknown |
The BASH command swings the weight of a held melee weapon into an opponent. It is the heavy impact attack, and the blunt weapon equivalent of CHOP.
Syntax
- BASH
- Attack the enemy you are already engaged with, or pick a new one if you are not engaged.
- BASH <enemy>
- Attack the indicated enemy.
- BASH <enemy> <body part>
- Attack the indicated enemy, aiming for the named body part.
- BASH LEFT <enemy>
- Attack with the weapon in your off hand, training Offhand Weapon skill alongside the weapon skill.
- BASH HELP
- Basic syntax help. BASH HELP FULL gives the maneuver's mechanical profile, and BASH HELP LIST lists the other combat options.
Detailed Information
Bash is a damage dealing maneuver.
Bash tends to be a extremely fatiguing maneuver. Attacking again too soon can make this worse.
Bash tends to be unbalancing.
Bash is a slow maneuver, but heavy or unbalanced weapons can slow the attack further.
Bash is more accurate than most maneuvers, and is best suited to impact weapons and least suited to both puncture and slice weapons.
Bash temporarily penalizes all defenses, but is best suited for evasion defenses and least suited for parry defenses.
Notes
- CHOP, BASH, LUNGE and SWEEP all share a minimum roundtime. See Roundtime for the figures by weapon weight.
- Because bash is unbalancing and extremely fatiguing, it is normally spent from a high balance built up with FEINT rather than repeated.
