House of the Steel Dove (location)

The House building can be found along the Garden Crescent area near the interior south gate of Shard. The building contains space open to the public and for House-members only. Within the building are a number of refreshments and Picked flora.

[House of the Steel Dove]
Sanded black deobar planks line the floor to form a procession that leads to a single flint slab in the center of the room. The walls are made from a dark grey wood, the material also used to craft the spare benches set along the sides. A thick arch leads further into the building.
You also see a heavy doorway.
Obvious exits: none.

House Areas Open to House Members Only

[House of the Steel Dove, Main Hall]
Thick glass windows reveal a view of the garden, sunlight streaming in to give the sparse room a warm glow. Low wooden couches with sturdy maroon suede cushions create a space for the occasional moment of respite from the House's constant training regimen. A sideboard carved with shesegri is perilously close to a red and black dartboard hung along a side stone wall.
You also see a thick arch.

[House of the Steel Dove, Eastern Hall]
A row of stately doors stands opposite the steeply arched, leaded windows that dominate the length of the long, narrow corridor. Whitewashed plaster walls are undecorated save for the handsomely carved knotwork designs that grace the windowsills and door frames. Stretching the length of the hall, a narrow grey carpet runs down the center of the immaculate wooden floor. The occasional whisper of a hymn wafts from somewhere in the distance.
You also see a wide arch and some spiraling stairs.

[House of the Steel Dove, Chapel]
Smooth stone walls and a simple wooden floor add to the serenity of the chapel. A stained glass window displaying a vibrant image faces to the west. Centered in the room is a broad stone altar, which, like its surroundings, is immaculate and unadorned. Sparse, dark wooden benches are set alongside the walls, and thin woolen pillows are scattered on the hard floor.
Obvious exits: south.

Altar:

Indelible dark stains mar the surface of the altar.

Does not work with a pilgrim's badge. Unconfirmed Immortal association. Albreda?

Window:

Pieces of blue and grey glass make up the image of a dove, which is surrounded by clear glass that accentuates the image.

[House of the Steel Dove, Western Hall]
The grey wood of the coarse floor stretches between a bank of doors and the row of tall, arched windows that looks down upon the garden outside. Set amongst the panels of heavy silk-covered velvet that cover and insulate the bare slats of the walls, several large iron sconces support massive torches that offer both heat and light to the hall. The occasional sounds of merriment drift from elsewhere in the building.
You also see some spiraling stairs and a sturdy wooden door.

[House of the Steel Dove, Meditation Garden]
Darkness is dispersed by lanterns flanking the path around the lush lawn of the garden. The scent of lavender perfumes the evening air, joining the sound of a bubbling fountain in the center of the garden. Springy moss encircles the garden's focal point for any who care to kneel during their mediations. You also see a sturdy wooden door.

[House of the Steel Dove, Archery Range]
The grassy field is completely flat except for the steeply angled berm to the south that has been designed to prevent missiles from escaping the area. Numerous brightly painted targets stand along the stone wall that encircles the entire House proper, each kept ready for practice.
You also see a bright blue target and a vivid red target.
Obvious paths: south.

Targets are functional for archery competitions.

Flickering light from a torch mounted in a polished brass sconce adds to the meager light that filters through the leaded windows facing the street below. Braided rugs of grey linen cover the clean wooden floors, the dull hue matching that of the stone walls. A spiraling stair leads down to the first floor.
Obvious exits: east.

[House of the Steel Dove, Dormitories]
A narrow table supports a porcelain vase filled with fragrant lavender, the vibrant blue-violet brilliant against the dark wood and grey stone of the building. A carved chandelier holds ivory candles overhead, providing light but little warmth.
You also see a pale wooden door and a glassy carved obsidian door.

[House of the Steel Dove, Dormitories]
Torches in polished brass sconces illuminate the stone hallway. Rugs of woven grey linen pad the rich wood floor, and the faint scent of incense wafts from the stairs leading to the first level.
You also see some spiraling stairs, a pale wooden door and a grey plank door.
