A warhorn is a signalling tool that has special uses for Bards and Barbarians.

The signaling functions extend to several rooms, and both Bards and Barbarians have an extended range.

Per GM Lawlite, there are at three grades of warhorns. The mid-level quality adds the LURE (for Barbarian) and WARN (for Bard) verbs that are mechanically valuable, and the sound travels a moderate distance.

The simplest quality has only the "fluff" ALERT, RALLY, and MARCH verbs that everyone can use, and the sound travels a short distance.
The mid-level quality adds the LURE (for Barbarian) and WARN (for Bard) verbs that are mechanically valuable, and the sound travels a moderate distance.
The highest quality (generally only auction-quality) adds a bonus effect to the LURE and WARN verbs and also increases the distance the sound travels to the highest range.

The GMs have commented that the Barbarian/Bard options are not meant to be full blown guild abilities, just useful additions.
