Foyer

[Pierless Inn, Foyer]
Polished oak and silverwood parquet floors glitter with the soft light of many candles. Walls of quarrystone might look chill and formal elsewhere, but not here, for embroidered rugs and silken tapestries adorn every wall. Truly, this is a place that knows how to make you welcome. A small kiosk to one side for the convenience of arriving guests checking in stands ready, along with a cloakroom for storing of heavy gear.

Quiet Bar

[Pierless Inn, Quiet Bar]
This small, quiet room is warm and cozy. Resembling the parlor of a prosperous house more than a bar, it exudes comfort and serene enjoyment. A large fireplace holds a cheery blaze filling the room with warmth. Fragrant fruitwood smoke scents the air. Leather couches and chairs gather around small tables for the comfort of guests. A small service counter offers an array of drinks and food to match the ambiance.
You also see a cozy table with several things on it and a waitress.

Many shelves line the walls, allowing gear and garments to be stored easily. Hooks for cloaks and hats line one wall and not a few walking sticks are propped here and there. There is a small stool for the attendant and a tiny table.

Main Hall

[Pierless Inn, Main Hall]
The lavish main hall of the Inn dazzles one with the richness of its decor. Fumed oak and dark leather cover the walls and a decorated ceiling of hammered tin form the cup into which the elite and powerful in this town pour out their gold and silver in return for lavish food and drink. A constant low hum of talk and whispered confidences fill the air, some drifting in from the nearby bar. Small groups huddle around their tables, no doubt making deals that will affect trade across the province and well into others.

Circular Bar

[Pierless Inn, Circular Bar]
Drink and food of many types pass over the elaborately carved circular bar that forms the centerpiece of the Inn. Many people come here to enjoy themselves or merely to watch the endless parade of life in its infinite variety. It is said that everyone of any importance in the lands will pass by here sooner or later. A large staff of many races hurries to keep up with the demands of endless guests seemingly dying of thirst and hunger to judge from their eager orders.

Large Table

[Pierless Inn, Large Table]
A large circular table that can seat many people stands beneath an elaborate chandelier of crystal and bronze. Comfortable chairs ring the table, ready for patrons' use. The seal of the town has been worked into the table in a delicate inlay and you suspect that much of the town's business gets done here.

Quiet Corner

[Pierless Inn, Quiet Corner]
This quiet corner of the main bar seems to be insulated from the noise and babble elsewhere. Heavy velvet hangings on the walls and thick carpets account for much of the quietude. Silver and crystal sconces shed a warm light and a low settee offers respite for tired feet.

Shadowy Corner

[Pierless Inn, Shadowy Corner]
The bright lights of the main room fail to penetrate to this far corner. The shadows are thick and heavy. A few small candles glimmer on scattered tables, but their glow is limited to a few feet. Dark shapes huddle over drinks and talk in low voices, anxious not to be overheard. Scattered pairs and groups of people maintain a discreet distance from one another.

Kiosk

[Pierless Inn, Kiosk]
The kiosk is set to one side of the busy foyer so that guests may come and go with a minimum of fuss and bother. An antique bronze counter inset with soft wine-colored velvet serves as desk for the dignified Elothean behind it. A nearby stair climbs to the upper stories. Overhead, a wrought iron candelabra sheds a warm glow over all.

Stair Landing

A wide hallway leads to the north, where several private salons for entertaining reside. Thick carpets warm the cold stone floor and elegant wall-hangings depict scenes of revelry and banqueting.

Upper Hall

[Pierless Inn, Upper Hall]
A number of doors to either side of the passage mark rooms set aside for patrons desiring privacy from the noise and tumult of the main room below. At the far south end of the hallway stands a circular staircase, its wooden steps extending from ceiling to floor, and beyond.
You also see a mahogany door, an oak door and a pine door.
