Categorization

Thank you for your entry of Nebela. I went ahead and corrected the categories. In order to add a page to a category, you put in [[Category:Guild Leaders]], for example. This would put the page in the Category:Guild Leaders. Take a look at what I did to Nebela to see other examples.

In order to put in a link on a page to a category, just put a colon before Category. Example: [[:Category:Guild Leaders]]

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok, lets see if I can help you. It appears you know (a bit?) of HTML, but wikicode is not HTML, even though *some* HTML constructs are allowed (such as <br>). But in regards to categories, you use the wiki-link style [[pagename]] to link to it, *but* you specify the WORD "Category" first, then a colon. Such taht Guild Leaders would be "[[Category:Guild Leaders]]" the thing with categories, is if they are specified on a page, the page will be added to the category, and MediaWiki will do all that magical formatting itself. So you don't need to do the div, id, or any of that.
I am leaving Imaar alone for now, as an exercise for you to finish. If you have any further questions feel free to ask either myself or Naeya. --Callek 18:53, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
Oops I changed Imaar. Looks like you (Gnome)were just copy/pasting from the Source Code of the page to try to set up categories. This isn't necessary. You add the categories in the same way you edit the page. In the edit box that you get to by clicking Edit on the page, or creating a new page. To add Imaar to all the proper categories, you simple add:
[[Category:Guild Leaders]]
[[Category:NPCs]]
[[Category:Trader]]
[[Category:S'Kra Mur]]
[[Category:Alive]]
This adds that page to all of those categories. Send me an IM if you need anything else.--Naeya (talk) 19:39, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
See dria's edit of Imaar --Callek 19:41, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
Also see the Wikipedia help on editing, bear in mind *some* of that might not directly translate here (mostly stuff with regard to templates, since they have some templates we don't), but reading/skimming most of that should get you a pretty good idea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents/Editing_Wikipedia --Callek 19:41, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
