Spirit Loss Deaths

My memory may be failing me, but I isn't possible to die from Spirit loss as well?

yes, still possible. There's grave robbery hits, and then there are room effects (ie, Telgi Kweld and the sun vultures.) There are also spells (clerics' Elhyaar's Feast and Bitter Feast spells) and guild abilities (beseech aligns) that can cause spirit death as well.--Symphaena 23:23, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Odd Death Visions

I got a strange message after departing today during the atik'et and firecat invasion of the crossings:

A familiar pain wracks your body as you find yourself reliving powerful memories of your recent brush with death. The pain fades as quickly as it struck, leaving you with a vague certainty that something went very wrong when you consigned yourself to the care of the Immortals. Or very right.

You shudder involuntarily as images of your recent brush with death flood your mind. The memories are jumbled and confused, rushing past you in seemingly random order. You try to sort the memories out, but it's almost like something prevents you, wanting to keep you from remembering too much.

It takes a great deal of effort to push through the dull roar and find any sense in it, and when you finally succeed the voices receed, faiding to a whisper, then silence. The most disturbing thing is that you almost feel that your own voice was among them, lost and confused.

Death's Sting Penalties

Based on origami, the least penalty you can get (having at least 1 favor per 10 circles) is somewhere between -2 and -6 to all stats. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi^(talk) 02:29, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

I am currently missing 10 points of concentration while suffering from a minimum Death's Sting. Int: 20, Dis: 20, Sta: 19. Seems likely I have a 2 point penalty to Int and Disc and a 1 point penalty to Sta.

Unfortunately, I just tested this again, this time with a different character. Int: 63, Disc: 52, Sta: 39, and I took a 27 point penalty to concentration. 10% penalty to all stats, round penalty down, fits both of these data points.

Kinds of Deaths

Apparently there are multiple kinds of 'death' in Dragonrealms. I myself went into the void when I learned how to rezz, someone else I saw was cremated, I've often seen people disintegrated... Could someone with more knowledge of the subject provide a list of the death messaging that we receive and exactly what they each mean? Kashna (talk) 18:51, June 6, 2016
