My notes have the (temporary) expulsion of the Thieves taking place in 2002. Here's the relevant source:

October 6th, 2002
Guild of Thieves Eradicated
It has been 370 years, 91 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer.

It is the 3rd month of Lirisa the Archer in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare.

It is dark out and two Riverhaven Wardens fresh from their evening patrols have slumped over a table. Though tired from their work, there is a glow of pride in their eyes as they animatedly discuss the past week's events. One turns to the barkeep in obvious excitement and relates his story.

"Me and Gabber here were out patrolling a few nights back when the Lord Mayor Bressail called us and all the wardens into his office, he did. He said he'd spoke with the good Inquisitor Anamir of Zoluren, whom he'd been working with for many weeks now. The Inquisitor was buying information about the Thieves Guild, both in Crossing and in Riverhaven. Seems them gutless thieves had some loose lips down in Crossing made even looser with the lure o' golds.

Well the Mayor told us the cat was out of the bag and Inquisitor Anamir's informant, some Maratana Jaberdoody or something, had been discovered and killed. Futhermore, it seemed the thieves' hideout in Crossing had been shut down and now those scoundrels were on their way here to warn their shifty leaders in this town. But thanks to Inquisitor Anamir we already knew the hideout and so the good Mayor dispatched us to shut down the nest of thieves hiding in a warehouse near the hospital. We charged in and dragged out a whole big lot of them, I got 3 of 'em just on my own. They had already arrived from the south and warned their goon leaders, but we rounded up a good 20 of them and crowded 'em in our jail. So we didn't catch the ones called Swan and Crow, but we chased 'em out of town and they won't be coming back if they know what's good for 'em. Some of our guard friends down in Crossing tell me they rounded up the lot of 'em there too and shut the doors on the biggest thieves guild in all the Five Provinces. So tonight is a night to celebrate!

All them sewer rats gotta find a new home. May it be far, far from here!

Did an event of this sort take place multiple times?
