Description: First used by a nomadic clan of Water mages in the frigid regions of Forfedhdar, the Rimefang spell was given as a gift to the Warrior Mage Guild as a token of goodwill upon the rediscovery of that province. Binding the powers of ice and snow tightly about him, the caster cloaks himself with a chilling mist. From this cloud crystallize blades of ice which whirl about, slashing nearby enemies to ribbons.
Example Messaging: You gesture.

A chilling mist begins seeping slowly from your body.
The frosty vapor surrounding you coalesces into five icy blades that begin twirling about you in a graceful yet deadly dance.

The chilling mist surrounding you thickens slightly.
The frosty vapor surrounding you coalesces into an icy blade that joins the four deadly weapons already twirling about you.

An icy blade spins in a lazy circle around you.

An icy blade circling you lands a strong hit to a young forest gryphon's body!

You sense the Rimefang spell upon you, which should last for about three roisaen.

The five frost-covered blades circling around you shatter into a fine icy mist.

Notes

  • Cannot be targeted. Blades will attack ANY target that closes to melee, friend or foe.
  • Creates 1-5 blades. Number of created blades seems to be based on Primary Magic skill and not by how much mana is used, at roughly one blade every 100 ranks.
  • Duration caps at 5 minutes. Spell does not stack.
  • Blade power is roughly equivalent to a minimum-mana Frost Scythe.
