This week, Paklin tackled a recent concern that came up on Discord -- being able to get a particular item from lying at your feet. There's now a new LIFT verb that can help with this! This particular problem is tricky to solve with the way the game parses commands and selects items from your input (especially when you have same/similarly named items in the room vs in containers vs held vs worn vs feet!), so we tackled it from a different angle. For xml-capable clients that can display clicky links, the LIFT verb can list all items at your feet and generate either GET or STOW links for each that you can click, so you get a specific item. For non-xml clients, you'll simply see the list of items. Otherwise, LIFT/LIFT STOW works similar to STOW FEET by grabbing the first item found at your feet.
