Prerequisites: | None | |
Minimum Prep: | 5 | |
Casting Cap: | 65 | |
Performance Type: | Sung, Winds
Description: | Misdirection is utilized in a manner that is unusual with Bardic magic. Rather than drawing attention due to the music, the notes and sounds played tend to force attention away from the Bard and her group. Those that fall to the influence of this enchante may find that their skills of stealth are enhanced, though aggressive creatures will be able to see through this facade and make the enchante harder to perform.
Example Messaging: | Intro: You hum the low, first tones of "Misdirection" quietly, and find yourself getting caught up immediately in its quick, almost sinuous phrases. The pattern of your enchante starts to take hold and you raise your voice enough to encompass those close to you, now singing the soft words to the song.
Verse: The normally passive melody of your enchante surfaces briefly in your mind, reminding you of its existence while at the same time making sure your own presence is less obtrusive. Solo: The weaving melody of your enchante seems to briefly arrest your attention, then slowly nudge it away with a deft touch that leaves you only dimly aware of what is occurring. All that is left is your sense of the pattern of the enchante flowing around you. You feel the subtle, changing melodies of your enchante fold around you like a protective blanket, and you suddenly feel less conspicuous than before.
