A category for spells that can make more than one attack against a single target. These hits are instantaneous and operate under a reduced damage model compared to other damage spells. Abilities which make more than one attack against a single target without the multistrike penalty are pulse damage abilities. Those that can make attacks against multiple targets are area of effect spells.
