Look:	The thick soles of these boots are augmented with padded inserts to help muffle the sound of the wearer's movements. Criss-crossed faded leather cords are run through blackened iron eyelets to lace up past the ankle for a secure and supportive fit, while lightened steel inserts reinforce the toe with hand-to-hand combat in mind. Silvery-black spikes of kertig encircle the leather sole of the boot and jut out from the toebox, designed to deliver additional puncture damage to any unlucky opponents.
