I just crafted two different kinds of needles and they have identical durability since I used the same MCS ingot to craft them... but it looks like needle durability is not equal to the metal's durability... and I guess... speed can only be known upon use? With 200 appraisal it speed still doesn't show up for these guys. I'd love to get the rest of this chart filled out.

Analyze does show distinct durabilities that are not shown in a basic appraisal of the needles. The Ribbed are "somewhat unsound", while the Plain ones are "marginally vulnerable". -- [[User:KASHNA|KASHNA]] ([[User talk:KASHNA|talk]]) 23:57, 7 May 2017 (EST)
Here's the appraisals, if it helps:
<pre>
You glance down to see some plain steel-alloy sewing needles in your right hand and nothing in your left hand.
>
The sewing needles are made with metal.
You are certain that the metal in the sewing needles has a quality of 55, placing it at 'of average purity' on the official Trader's Scale.
You believe that the metal in the sewing needles is quite hard.
You think it is likely that the metal in the sewing needles has a durability of 61, placing it at 'good durability' on the official Trader's Scale.
You are certain that the metal in the sewing needles has a workability of 57, placing it at 'of about average difficulty to work with' on the official Trader's Scale.
You think it is likely that the metal in the sewing needles has an electrical resistance of 31, placing it at 'a great conductor of electricity' on the official Trader's Scale.
You think it is likely that the metal in the sewing needles has a thermal resistance of 51, placing it at 'good at transferring heat and cold' on the official Trader's Scale.
You are certain that the metal in the sewing needles has a physical resistance of 83, placing it at 'exceptionally good at repelling physical blows' on the official Trader's Scale.
You estimate that the metal in the sewing needles has a ductility of 75, placing it at 'ductile' on the official Trader's Scale.
The sewing needles feels pretty light.
You are certain that the sewing needles are worth exactly 1371 Kronars.

How to tell the speed/durability of a tool

I just crafted two different kinds of needles and they have identical durability since I used the same MCS ingot to craft them... but it looks like needle durability is not equal to the metal's durability... and I guess... speed can only be known upon use? With 200 appraisal it speed still doesn't show up for these guys. I'd love to get the rest of this chart filled out.

Analyze does show distinct durabilities that are not shown in a basic appraisal of the needles. The Ribbed are "somewhat unsound", while the Plain ones are "marginally vulnerable". -- KASHNA (talk) 23:57, 7 May 2017 (EST)
