|look=Fashioned from a single chitinous beak, this small shield has natural ridges and grooves in its fibrous surface, a slight iridescence offering a blue accent to the dark material.   It curves inward as it hooks, the slope of the carapace coming to a point.  Along the hollow of the shield, two leather straps and a handle have been attached to the beak by way of iron fasteners drilled through the surface.
