>>(re: Blindness) Your asking the wrong people it seems, I would absolutely love this.

I was speaking more towards our side of the fence. And there's some validity to it, both because I feel like to do it right it'd have to actually cause blindness, which introduces a number of mechanical issues, and the Moon Mage guild is fairly loaded with debuffs. It's not off the table however.

>>I think the self cast version [of Tezirah's Veil] is fine, the amount of damage you take is only neglible in test because of the "healme" button. Otherwise it'd completely cripple your attempts to do anything. To be truthful I'd wouldn't be casting this at high mana on myself in a normal situation, the fact it randomly fills things also means your not garunteed to get anything good at it.

I would not recommend using a low amount of mana when self casting, no. If you're using it on another Moon Mage however... well, that's another story.

>>What does TV do on critters?

I'll peal back the curtain and give a demo.

Using a goblin (I always use goblins):

>cast goblin
You gesture at a goblin.
You contribute your harnessed streams to increase the pattern's potential. The world about you jolts to a sudden stop. Awareness of the here and now fades as flickers of fate flood your mind allowing you to view all the myriad possibilities that may yet be.
Empowered by the sorcerous magic you splinter off a fragment of your newly augmented prophetic connection and attempt to imbed it into a goblin's essence.
The sliver of prophecy sinks deeply into a goblin.
And then the world moves on as if oblivious to what just happened.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

A goblin closes its eyes for a briefly before snapping them open again revealing scleras awash with shadows that creep into the irises. Threads of silver flicker across the pupils as its eyes drift about serenely.
A goblin blinks once, returning its eyes to normal.
x5

Pulse 1 = Stealth buff (Hey, sometimes they aren't curses. Rarely, but sometimes...)
Pulse 2 = Melee damage debuff
Pulse 3 = Perception debuff
Pulse 4 = Parry debuff
Pulse 5 = Another perception debuff

Each of these will last about 10 minutes (What can I say, I'm a jerk and used full mana).

Pulse 5 in this case is actually problematic, the debuffs shouldn't be stacking the way they currently are (It's similar to the problem Malediction was recently having).

Unfortunately outside of creature appraisal (Which is another ball of wax entirely) there's no existing utility to really measure these effects. I have an idea for how you might be able to, but it'd be a significant time investment for a fairly narrow use. I'll think about if I want to chase it down or not.

>>(re: SOD If these are going to lock out our use of other TS spells and abilities I really think that we should be able to sense how much longer we will be affected.

Hmm. I'll see what I can do.

>>SET... Im immobilizing stuff pretty easy which is nice but holy crow the time length on that spell is crazy. At min prep Im getting 34 minutes. Thats a super long time to be bound especially if you burn up all the severs and have to just wait it out. I still lean towards wishing this pulsed the immobility with a lower duration but I can see how that may be an issue too. Maybe even if it was Cyclic... Not sure exactly what would make this better.

If the target dies it will end, or you can rend it off yourself. I spoke to Armifer and we're tenatively okay with that interaction.
