So, we've never had a feral magic spell before! This first release is available on a self-casting device. Feral magic is a new possibility, and the promo gift allowed a method of delivery to give out a preview item. It's not meant to be an every day item - A nifty trinket with limited application. The TE spell will not be made available to players by any other means - it's a creature spell, not a player spell - but now we do have the system in place to develop some content in that area.

Sorcerous backlash does have a chance to wipe your scroll spells, and feral magic is sorcerous for all adventurers. The chance to lose scrolls is overcome with skill in arcana.

That being said, {{com|WEAR}} as an activation verb was initially intended, but is being changed. Two people lost scrolls upon wearing the item, and I will reach out to them to replace their scrolls.
