We approach the 10-year anniversary of the battle in Basalt waters.
The Reshalian fleet has been rebuilt, and the frequent skirmishes with the Red Sash have created a readiness in the fleet unseen in peacetime in many years. Still, they have been emboldened by the continued delay in the Ogre's trial. I arranged for his capture to send a clear message with a swift execution, and Moglin continues to push for a thorough and fair trial that takes into account the Ogre's usefulness and spineless demeanor. I still have a number of avenues to advocate for his swift execution, and continue to stall the trial as I arrange my cards.
My marines report that your house guard have been more than adept at their sides, beginning with the incursion on Hara'jaal to capture the Ogre and lasting to this date. In turn, the training with your house guard has improved my marines' readiness for land warfare and capability in mountainous terrain.
I will write when it becomes time to speak with the Council. I hope that your father will see the wisdom in waiving Zoluren's right to extradition such that we can pursue the Ogre's execution in a timely manner, as well as resolving the charges with an exile to Reshalia such that there is no impediment to a very swift and public death.
